Runic Guitar Pick

A runic guitar pick design featuring a bind rune with personal meaning. Made in Inkscape.

Ok I wasn't going to post anything more about this design.. but there seems to be a mild interest.

Here then is just one layer of meaning to the bind rune...

The runes involved are Raidho (say it like r-eye-doh) this one looks like an "R", Ansuz (say it like an-Zooz) which looks like two arms pointing down to the right with a straight back and the hidden one is Tiwaz (say is like tee-wah-zz) which looks like a "T" with its arms slightly bent downward.

Raidho is the one on the left and it has been flipped to face left. Its basic meaning and connection is that of a journey. Its been flipped to add the thought of past journey leading to the now and beyond.

Ansuz is on the right side and basically this one is about communication and communication with Deity.. you could say it connects directly to Odin.

Putting these both together gives us the root understanding. I am looking to improve my communications (with deity as well) through my journey (past through to the future).

The Tiwaz rune is seen dead center between Raidho and Ansuz.

Tiwaz directly relates to the One Handed God.. Tyr. This rune is all about self-sacrifice and Victory.

This is important because it is what fuels my journey to and from my desire to communicate.

So there you have it.. a very brief explanation of a rather simple layer of meaning to this Bind Rune. There are others.. but I won't post them here.

As a word of caution however.. the runes are not toys. They are a gift from the god commonly known as Odin and he is the God of Death and War among other things. Please do not use the runes as play things.

I've been working with the runes since early 1998 and I am still learning.

You studied runes with me, I am sure there are things in there you see that I may not.

You always get good results in Inkscape, is what I mean.
